We are Indigo Native Americans. We were living in harmony with Turtle Island before the Columbian Euro Invasions. Our people did not populate the Trail of Tears. We are Cherokee and Natchez Nations that established Farmsteads in the south. We now practice Local Urban agriculture.

*Amen Ankh AKademy BotaniKa Grows and provides the natural essential energy and Articles for our highest fulfillment of our Destiny, Health, Careers, and Relationships. There are Colors, Aromas, Heka sounds, Minerals, Herbs, tinctures, and foods that are the essence of our success. https://amen-ankh.blogspot.com/p/amen-ankh-urban-farm.html

We spell AKademy, AfuraKa, and BotaniKa with a "K" to acknowledge our sacred life force of "Ka" from the language of our ancient Ancestry: the Medu Neter (Sacred Word).

We support the Kansas City ordinance: Chapter 88-312 for Urban Farming initiated in 2010. We Grow-food-Not-Lawns as an initiative to encourage individuals, families, and neighborhoods into Urban farming, and to rekindle victory gardening as a solution to Food Deserts: tail-pipe urban areas that are surrounded by Fast food restaurants and convenience grocery stores filled with Tobacco, liquor, and highly processed junk foods like sodas, cereals, candy and salty snacks filled with white flour, white sugar, High fructose corn syrup, salt, processed Animal Milk products, and hydrogenated fats that promoted obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, strokes, and cancers.

I am Beqsu Mosley Adenike Nuta AmenRa. I am the Co-Founder of Amen Ankh AKademy. I taught as a Special Education Science Teacher at Central High School, in the urban core and bought a house that was 4 blocks away. The students were surprised to see me riding my bike to school, or catching the bus like they were. They would ask; "YOU LIVE HERE IN THE HOOD WITH US?!"

Yes! I made a commitment to galvanize a mixed-income community and opened my home for tutoring, Wi-Fi access, fresh foods, a food buyer's club, study groups, and Wellness counseling, for students and parental support. One day in the spring, as I was tending the farm in my front yard and vacant lot; a young girl managed to cross the street and asked me what I was doing. I explained that I was growing food. She exclaimed, "I would never eat any of that food!" I asked "Why not?" she announced, "That food is dirty!" I then asked where do you think food comes from?" She replied: "Duh! The Grocery store!" I patiently chuckled and continued to teach her about where "real" food comes from. In a few days, she was Identifying and eating Dandelion flowers like it was candy! This was the beginning of my launch of You G.R.O.W.W. Girl! Teach a Girl- Heal a Nation, EMWOT's Youth going Green, And "Feed The Hood" Project.

*The Mission of Amen Ankh Urban Farm is:
to establish *Ausar's Mandate: Global production, promotion, and perpetuation of food resources and comfort - Ausar is our ancient Ancestor who represents All things green and growing in the Natural Kingdom called Geb - our Planet Earth. He is food and Prosperity. Ausar brought Abundance, and Civilization throughout the planet.
His body was divided into 14 pieces and buried across the Planet. Everywhere he was buried a thriving civilization was born. We are mandated to reunite the pieces of Ausar!

At Amen Ankh AKademy BotaniKa we teach-a-man-to-fish, by guiding families to grow, prepare, and sell local healthy Indigenous Foods in environmentally, respected, earth-gentle ways.
To restore balance in our relationship with the cosmos, earth, and our communities and by increasing awareness of nourishment, environment, and health.
By honoring the traditional teachings of our Indigenous relatives, we restore respect for the blessings of food, soil, water, and air that we must have
To Live our lives as indigenous Sovereigns on Earth
To ensure a healthy life for our seeds (the next generation.)
To live in a sustainable Ecosystem with the planet.
To educate our own children to be leaders in/an ecologically responsible and sustainable way of life.

*Ausar is an Ancient Neteru Ancestar from East and Central Afrika. Ausar IS FOOD! He is a model of Life, Abundance, and Prosperity.

For more than a decade, we have practiced the Chapter 88-312 Urban Farm Ordinance, and GROW FOODS NOT LAWNS initiatives.

We Practice Urban Farming in the Metro Kansas City, Missouri Area. Chapter 88/312 Urban Farming Ordinance was established and approved by the City Council in 2010. So We can sell a tomato to our neighbors.

Let Amen Ankh AKademy teach you how to become an Urban Farmer! https://amen-ankh.blogspot.com

We can grow our own foods. Then share with each other. This is how we STOP THE KILLING! I left teaching in the Public Schools to Grow local foods and create outreach for the neighborhoods to establish home cottage industries through Urban Farming. I want to grow fresh local foods to feed children, instead of administering prescription drugs when I was mandated to do so as an Exceptional Ed Teacher. I think ALL Children are Gifted and talented. The world disturbs the potential of our youth. Agriculture is a founding resource for health and wealth. As a teacher who lived 4 blocks away from the school where I educated scholars, I was approached by a student who lived across the street. She didn't recognize a Cabbage growing in the ground. She thought foods only came cleaned in the grocery store. We have moved from our connection with nature, and our interdependent relationship with natural resources for our economics. We can control our water, Food, and energy resources. We can police ourselves. We can heal ourselves. Yes, WE can be the gentry and own our own communities! #YesWeCan #AmenAnkh #StopTheKilling #BroVincentMuhammad #SisJulieMuhammad #BroAbdul #Sasteh #AdenikeAmenRa
*Amen Ankh Farm grows and distributes affordable local products for the local communities and promotes the development of healthy eating attitudes and behaviors through our "Farm-A-See" Project. The farm also aims to increase Kansas City students’ nutritional knowledge and awareness of food systems and environmental sustainability through hands-on educational programs. By localizing consumption and following environmentally sustainable farming practices Ankh Urban Farms is an urban agricultural endeavor from Amen Ankh Enterprises. We work with the goal of Abolishing Food Deserts, achieving environmental justice, food justice, and sustainability by “improving neighborhood access to local healthy foods.

Amen Ankh means "Sacred Life." These are words that come from our Ancient Central Afrikan Ancestars. We operate as a Food-not-Lawn initiative for Urban Farming in the heartbeat of America, Kansas City, Missouri. We are Black professionals who are determined to create a path for our youth to stay in their neighborhoods to "Become the Gentry."

What are the Benefits of Urban Farming?

· Increase local food, self–reliance
· Provide low-cost nutritious vegetables to families
· Beautify neighborhoods and make use of vacant lots
· Encourage neighborhoodliness and neighborhood pride
· Provide a positive form of recreation for all ages
· Provide a context for members of families to come together
· Share cultural heritage
· Provide a form of physical recreation and therapy
· Provide opportunities to learn and refine new skills
· Provide opportunities to increase self-esteem

We follow a Reduce Reuse Recycle objective in collecting rainwater, reusing items like plastics, as well as Composting our food scraps.

We connect with life through the natural environment. This is a spiritual experience.

We venerate our Ancestars in connection with the cosmos. Our Ancient Ancestars would pay propitiation to anything that was taken from the natural environment. That meant that they used EVERYTHING, from a plant or animal that was sacrificed for our use.

We are reminded of Ka-Ma-Ta and Khamit's Tree (Chemistry)- through the Honorable Dr. George Washington Carver! He synthesized thousands of products from humble groundnuts- the Peanut, as well as Sweet potatoes... Our Ancestars were marvelous people. We could talk to the animals and connect to read the Cosmos Stars!

At Amen Ankh we live under Kamet's Tree of Life! Kamet's Tree is a reference to an Afrikan Kandaki (Queen) Wise Elder/Sage who lived in a Baobab Tree. Baobab trees are enormous and are frequently found in Afrika and Asia. These trees can provide abundant shelter, as well as feed and heal the entire environment of Families, Animals, insects, etc. with a host of vital foods, medicine, oil, rope, textiles, shelter, and even water, from the fruits, seeds, bark, roots, vines, and leaves! The Kandaki Ma who lived in a Baobab tree would become the wise woman, Shaman, early Doctors, surgeons, and Chemists, who created the healing salves, Poultices, Tinctures, Teas, Woven cloth, Baskets, foods, and recipes to aide the newborns, injured, and the sick.

So, Kamet (Also known under the spellings of Khamit, Kemet, or even KMT (Hieroglyphs are without vowels.) KMT is an east Afrikan word meaning "People of the Sun." The word is derived from the Ancient East Afrikan societies. So Khemit's tree is also referred to the origins of scientific knowledge from our ancient societies. So, Khemit's Tree IS Chemistry! All scientific knowledge and technology come from Central Afrikan societies.

Kamet or KMT is also used to describe an East Afrikan staple Grain, called Kamut.

"Believing the legend that the giant grain kernels were taken from an Egyptian tomb, the grain was dubbed "King Tut's Wheat." One remaining jar of "King Tut's Wheat" was obtained by an agricultural scientist and plant biochemist soon perceived the value of this unique grain. They spent the next decade propagating the humped-backed kernels originally selected from the small jar. Their research revealed that wheat of this type originated in the fertile crescent area which runs from Egypt to the Tigris-Euphrates valley. The trade name "Kamut" an ancient Egyptian word for wheat was coined. Egyptologists claim the root meaning of Kamut is "Soul of the Earth.""

Ron Finley has stated: "We are killing more people from Drive-thrus than by Drive-bys."
